9:30 – 10:00 a.m.

Print snacks
Short videos that help your print products get started digitally

Nowadays, printed matter is mainly communicated in the digital world, in social networks, in blogs or on websites.
In order to do this emotionally and attractively attention-grabbing, there is a new method: "snack content" in the form of ultra-short videos that make your print product the main actor, sympathetically position your company and at the same time strengthen your brand.
In the lecture this will be presented with the help of first case studies.
Franz-Josef Baldus

10:45 – 11:15 a.m.

The added value of digital print in promotional communication

Print is emotional. It engages the senses leaving a deeper and longer-lasting impact. It grabs and retains attention! Latest digital printing solutions and workflows are enabling marketers to develop new print applications that fit into multi- and omni-channel campaigns. By integrating customized print at selective touchpoints give brands, retailers and agencies a new dimension to increase response rates and build consumer loyalty.
Discover Canon´s SPEED campaign - a story of emotional print - which started with a photobook, followed by a myriad of promotional and merchandising print applications demonstrating how the power of digital print adds value to the customer experience.
Tino Wägelein, Business Development Manager – Commercial Printing, Canon Europe

12:00 – 12:45 p.m.

Unexpected printing – when Added Value comes to life

When the customer is in the center of business activities and if the joy of printing creative products determines this target, then "unexpected printing" results. While clients constantly are affected by new trends, new technological developments, messages of salvation and perseverance it is getting increasingly difficult to develop the right strategy. The terminology of the last years "Added Value" is becoming more and more a buzzword. The speakers present, apart from statistics and forecasts, inspiring print products, which prove once again: Print is alive! (literally).

Adobe Stock.

Marketing portals, marketing automation, platforms for web-to-print, web-to-publish, cross-media: What is the difference? A practical orientation.

In the areas of marketing, communication and publishing, there are more and more software solutions that are called "marketing automation" or "multichannel platform", but which cover completely different processes, tasks and functions. The main system categories and their distinguishing features will be explained in the presentation, also using practical examples. Participants will then be able to better differentiate between systems on the basis of their own objectives and assess their basic suitability more reliably.

The (other) way to the customer - committed and sustainable

Automation and technical innovation do not automatically lead to new customers in the typically small and medium-sized print and media industry.
Acquisition becomes the most important and at the same time the most unpopular task in the company. What (other) options do companies have to draw attention to themselves positively and thus win new customers for themselves in the long term?
Michael Adloff of Theissen Media Group gives practical examples that cost time but little money.
Michael Adloff – Managing Director, Theissen Media Group

What comes after the Internet?

There is nothing which cannot also be found in the internet. Better said: What doesn't exist in the internet simply doesn't exist. But is the internet really the measure of all things? It is exactly these online giants who are currently trying with all their might to conquer the real world for themselves. Michael Wietkamp knows of the forces which arise when this step succeeds and shows how in the internet of the future the mechanisms which are only known today from Google and Co. can easily be transferred to print - and – the benefits of which that can already be gained today.
Michael Wietkamp, CEO, Ortmeier Medien GmbH

Marketing Management Systems and their role in the digitization process

Cloud based marketing management systems play a leading role on the way to digitization. They connect all players on a single platform, break open data silos and generate benefits for all participants.
Leading brand companies with a large number of regional distribution partners as well as cooperating service provider, benefit from intelligent data management and automated workflows from planning and budgeting to the implementation of highly individual, cross-media communication in the local environment.
The presentation focuses on the generation and usage of individual local content.
We provide insights into how brochures are filled with content relevant to sales partners, how print data is prepared uniformly and according to the demands of the print service provider and how it is transferred in a defined way. In the next step, the automated cross-media use of already generated offers in further digital and classic advertising media will be showcased.
